Hitit University Technology Transfer Office (TTO) Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights (IPR) Training Begins


The Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights (IPR) training sessions organized by Hitit University Technology Transfer Office Inc. (TTO) have commenced. The first session was held with the participation of academics from the Faculty of Health Sciences.


The training program was coordinated by Burcu Kabakdere, Deputy Director of Hitit University TTO Inc. The event covered the fundamental concepts of IPR, the concepts of idea and invention, and the processes of patents, utility models, and designs in detail.


In addition, information was provided on the management of inventions arising in higher education institutions, intellectual property rights for academics, and commercialization processes. Examples of existing patents held by academics from the Faculty of Health Sciences were shared, and evaluations were conducted regarding the commercialization of these patents and future research studies.


At the end of the training, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özgür Özdilli, Director of Hitit TTO Inc., thanked all participating academics and emphasized that increasing awareness of intellectual property rights will significantly contribute to the university's innovation capacity.


It was stated that FSMH trainings will continue in different units within Hitit University and that academics will continue to be supported in this context.
